    Hello everyone,

I'm trying to find out the correct stock engine color for late 30's/early 40's (Pre-war) Chevrolet cars with 216 engines.

I found that the trucks used grey and I'm pretty sure that the cars used grey also but if anyone can clear this up for me I would greatly appreciate it!

If you have photos even better.
    Thanks!!

I used to own a '39 Chevy coupe, and the original 216 was gray.

Drab gray. Wasn't til the early 50s that they changed to blue, thus the name blue flame. Go with whatever color you like.

Go to the Filling Station website to get the gray paint.
