I saw part of a movie on tv called "Border Patrol" I'd like to see again. (Maybe I'll try to Netflix it) It was about the border between life and death and had some really cool 'lead sleds' and 'taildraggers'. But my favorite will be "American Graffiti"!
a few off topic ones Mother Jugs and Speed The Wraith Cannonball Run Mad Max Gumball Rally on topic, nothing beats American Graffiti
Dirty Larry Crazy Marry (dad said he saw it at the drive in and at the end of the movie he was laughing at all the brake lights and my mom looked over and said, "Yeah but I bet they didn't grab the shifter and hit the clutch to down shift!" hahaha) The Last American Hero Hot Rod Catch Me If You Can
Hands down "American Graffiti". Not as good, but still ok, "More American Graffiti". "Smokey and the Bandit" also on my favorite list, plus "Hot Rod Girl", "Hot Rod", All the "Fast & The Furious", "Bullit", "Holywood Knights", "Corvette Summer", and who could forget "The Blues Brothers"...Cop shocks, Cop motor, etc., etc.
American Graffiti has to be the best movie that was ever made for us, because that the way it was. I am waiting for my DVD of Deuce of Spades, I think and hope that Faith and the actors will gain the sucess that the the actors and producers of American Graffiti have had.
Soon we can have a 'Name your favorite car movie thread', There are better threads than this, in fact there is probably at least 10 better threads than this but some idiot doesn't know how to do a search. Doc.
The Fast + the Furious has got to be the gayest movie yet. American Grafitti, Hollywood Knights, Two Lane Blacktop ( suck ass movie but the cars..)
A Couple of Aussie one`s Midnight spares FJ Holden The Cars That Ate Paris Metal Skin not real good acting but worth it for the cars
Road Racers ...I guess it`s not strictly a car movie as such, but I like it ...it always makes me smile and the soundtrack is spot on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6uEUSDL7QXw
There was this car movie once, lots of traditional hot rods and kustoms in it. The wierd part was that it wasn't old. It was taking place in our current time but there were still all these older cars around. The plot revolved around a website or a blog or something. Turns out some fuckin psyco had a thing about repeat posts and set out to find and kill anybody that did a repeat thread. I can't remember what car he started with cuz he'd steal the offender's cars after he whacked em. I thought it was a far fetched plot and it was low-budget-indie in presentation. Sadly, I picked it up part way through and had to leave before it was over, and my cable had gone out so the info gig just said "to be announced". Any help? Was it just a local thing or did any of you see it too. Some of the cars were really bitchin. Lotta Deuces and early 50s Chevy stuff, gassers, show rods...
American Graffiti, Hollywood Knights, Gone in 60 Seconds, Smokey & the Bandit...snuck into a 2nd showing of the bandit at the theater
