Useless but...FREE!

  1. I was working today and saw some early iron in a gentleman's yard and stopped to have a look. He had several nice Ford's and a 1916 Buick in his shop.
When I was leaving I saw this quarterpanel in a s**** heap and asked him what he was gonna do with it. He said it was a quarter for a 1940 Chevy sedan and he was gonna send it off for s****....so naturally I offered to buy it to save it from being melted down and the guy GAVE it to me :)

I can think of no way to use it on my RPU Project, it has too many curves to break down and make into the bottom of my truck bed.
Guess I will make some "yard art".

  3. That's what I was thinkin'. Sure beats the s**** heap!
I was hoping to salvage part of it for my project but it's pretty awesome as it sits :D

You said you were looking for metal for your pickup bed. I have had good luck with local body shops giving me wrecked pickup beds. Even a heavy hit bed should yield enough metal to do your RPU floor.
