I was working today and saw some early iron in a gentleman's yard and stopped to have a look. He had several nice Ford's and a 1916 Buick in his shop. When I was leaving I saw this quarterpanel in a s**** heap and asked him what he was gonna do with it. He said it was a quarter for a 1940 Chevy sedan and he was gonna send it off for s****....so naturally I offered to buy it to save it from being melted down and the guy GAVE it to me I can think of no way to use it on my RPU Project, it has too many curves to break down and make into the bottom of my truck bed. Guess I will make some "yard art".
That's what I was thinkin'. Sure beats the s**** heap! I was hoping to salvage part of it for my project but it's pretty awesome as it sits
someone, somewhere out there in Hot Rod land is looking for that exact thing.. hope you two run into each other
You said you were looking for metal for your pickup bed. I have had good luck with local body shops giving me wrecked pickup beds. Even a heavy hit bed should yield enough metal to do your RPU floor.
Where were you a couple years ago? Yes this is my 40 with no quarter on it. Useless to some but not me. .
