Sold this one locally to a guy that is going to tub it and install a 5.7L Hemi. My plans were a 440 auto. 1956 Plymouth two-door wagon.
Two-door wagons rule! Here is my pair-o-projects. My 56 Plymouth Suburban and my 59 Ranch Wagon. Also my yello/white tu-dor Plymouth Suburban I sold last year.
My Dad bought a brand new 57 Ford Del Rio Ranch Wagon back in the day. He complained about it till the day he got rid of it years later. Even though it was undercoated it rusted out and he said the engine was worn out at 20k. I wish I still had both around.
I've had it for six years, I'm not going to finish it and I'm not going to regret selling it to finish the car I've dreamed of my whole life...
Could I borrow your rear window crank? I need to see if it fits my falcon...LOL. I will relieve you of it and gladly pay you on TUESDAY!

Well executed car...but I always thought they should have used the lower Impala windshield as well to lower the top some...the tall roof really looks outof place to me....

Wow, a bnch of hip stuff coming up here, the black/white Comet is a beautiful trimmed wagon, HRP's 54 ranch wagon, the hardtopped Fairlane, the unreal model A Philco radio service wagon. Thanx for sharing this tin with us folks. Love it. I see why Danny may part with ol blue to finish his hartop beauty. Keep'em rollin ~Sololobo~
Great thread! I love the 2 door wagons. I've been looking for a wagon locally that I could build as a tow vehicle for my cl***ic Airstream trailer, but haven't had any luck. I finally settled for this heavily factory optioned '72 Suburban. Not a wagon so a bit off topic, but it is a 3 door which makes it unique in my book. One door on the driver's side and 2 on the p***enger side. Plans call for a lowered, raked stance, mild dechroming, big blockpower/auto, blue metallic with yellow, orange, & red flames. Keep those pics coming guys. This thread rocks!
i love 2dr wagons.hell i even love them 4dr wagons. my 53 ranchwagon 383 chevy strokeri dont have any interior pics but its nice. for now my avatar is the only pic i have of it. when the wife gets home ill see if she will post more for me. i cant !!
