Might look good on a "restorod" ,32 or newer touring car.

I think that's why it would good on a fat fendered car. Its all in the presentation. I mean after all, sometimes even an ugly girl looks better in a bikini! ( no inflection on Rally America:D)

Yea they look like a flower. Maybe good for yard art in the garden. Not on a restorod for sure. Fake doesn't get it for me, and these don't even resemble any of the vintage wheels. Hey guys the vintage wheels were designed by educated designers. If you can copy their design and want to squeeze in on that market, more power to you. I won't be a customer though. The real thing or nothing for me. I won't wear fake leather either. Sorry

Geez, I must be the only guy in the WORLD that likes em. I think they'd look great on a 50's woodie or wagon.

Yeah, I think it is a two or three situation-only wheel.
Flatten the spokes a bit, maybe? might square it up a bit...

Bolt it on something, it will look better then just setting there. Darker color would look better or even two tone.

  10. Painted with a beauty ring it could work really well on some cars, and trucks.(killer on a divco or bigger truck)......mostly late 30s-early 50s

  12. Does look better with paint, but yellow? I would still like to see them mounted up with a wide whitewall!

C'mon man, they don't look that bad. By the way, what's wrong with looking like a flower? I can easily think of one another "thing" in life that looks like a flower and nobody's complaining.

Hey Grouch, you sure you're looking at that wheel and not som'tin else perhaps? :D

Those who say 'loose 4 spokes' better need to learn to count first I guess. ;)

Here's a perhaps more vintage looking red/orange-version for you flowery types...

Start over with a larger center and smaller pipe for the spokes and you'll be getting closer.

The spokes need to be thinner, the rim needs to lose the extra lip or reduce it so the spokes are longer

Sure, I've heard of them. That doesn't mean I gotta like them, traditional or not. If Wheel Kid makes a perfect replica of an original wheel that someone doesn't like, then they probably won't like the replica. That doesn't make one a moron.

If you guys look back on post #76, you'll see an example of an original General Jumbo 16" wheel. Check it out.

I need to see these darker, with a tire on it, and on a couple cars, say a 34 coupe and 40's woodie wagon please.
I fail to see the magic everyone sees in the Divco wheels...well other than everyone else says they are cool, so maybe I should like them. ;)

I like them, but they have a definite vibe that needs a certain treatment and to be used on certain cars. Darker color, smaller cap, ring, factory type pinstriping, and they would look best on an early-mid '30s larger luxury resto rod like a Chrysler, Lincoln, Buick, Packard, etc.

Just what I want my car to look like, a milk truck. :p

My uninformed schmucky opinion on General Jumbos is of a similar nature.
