I am trying to replace the camshaft in my 1962 Chrysler 300H 413 w/2 4bls and solid lifters. I would like to have an original camshaft. The Barns camshaft which was installed years ago was to lower compression and make it run better on regular. IN fact, it doesn't seem to have anywhere near the power it had with the stock cam. I have the Chrysler shop manual with the timing, lift, duration etc, but no one lists a camshaft like it. Can someone recommend a source? An aftermarket grind would be ok if it wasn't very lopey The car will not be used for racing-just tours, shows, and tinky-tink driving. I'd really like for it to be stock though. Thanks, Mike Moore California
If you provide detailed specifications you can have your cam reground for $70 at Oregon Cam Grinding in Vancouver, Washington. They have lots of master lobes to choose from. Here's just one page of their mechanical profiles.
