    Hey guys,

I have 2 projects going at once and this one is kind of throwing me in circles. I need some sheet metal for my c10, rear fenders to be exact but, every site I go to has fenders for 53-66 and the 68-72 they all skip the 67. according to classic industries and lmc the 67 fenders have a specific body line the others don't and apparently no one carries them so, Does anyone know if 66 or 68-72 rear fenders will just bolt on? Also, I am looking to put discs brakes on the front and keep the 6-lug setup so if anyone can offer some info up on that I would be very appreciative, I am not looking to buy the brake kits out of a catalog i really would rather pick it up at a local parts house or junkyard if I can and piece it together and not spend 800 dollars that the catalogs are asking for something that looks like it should be an easy upgrade.

EDIT: I forgot to mention it's a shortbed stepside.

  2. i would think the fenders will just bolt om from 53-80 something the basic bed didnt change much this truck is a little new for this board

  3. Can't help on the fenders, but IMO the 1967 Chevy is THE most beautiful pickup ever built. The 68-72 stepside fenders should look right, anyway...

As far as front discs go, Chevy built a line of trucks in the 70s called a "heavy half". IIRC, the 2WD versions used 6 lug front hubs. Everything else I can think of would be 4WD or import...

  4. I love the 67-72 Chevy pickups....I own a 72 K5...I talk about that stuff at www.67-72chevytrucks.com .....not on the HAMB, as it is not furom appropriate.

Thank you both for your replies I will look into the 70s truck you mentioned ex and as far the truck being a little new for this board 57 you're prolly right I tried doing some searches first and saw a few 65-68 c10 posts and wasn't sure so took a chance I hope not to piss off the hamb gods too much.

  6. I don't think anyone will get to pissed. It more of a respect thing for Ryan. This is his house....It's about traditional hot rods. A 67 chevy is a cool truck, but it's not a traditional hot rod, nor does it fit the pre-64 nature of this board.

BTW not trying to be a dick. Just trying to help out so you dont get a ton of deleted stuff.

  7. You'd be better served over at www.stovebolt.com which is the premier forum for 1972-earlier Chevy and GMC trucks of all types and sizes. Tons of knowledge over there!

The question is OFF TOPIC, but since it's there- The reason they don't offer '67 rear fenders is that they are a ONE-YEAR only fender- they are exactly the same as the '68-'72 rear fenders except they DO NOT have the provision for the side marker reflectors.

Classic Performance Products (CPP) in Anaheim, CA has the parts for a 6-lug front disc brake conversion.

Yup - gotta blank off the side markers
also the "stepside" bed from the 90's has a crease that lines right up with the cab door o/t yes
