Heres a few photos of Dennis (lil daddy) Roth's STREETNIK BANDIT at SEMA 2010. Told the car was built to be a basic Fairgrounds, Car Show, Lakes cruiser that Dennis and all his iconic custom car builder buddies could hop into and pick up babes with... Has a super deep metal flake paint job that looks like a big hunk of candy. The motor sets WAY up in the cool air so it should never overheat. Super Wild looking dual carb scoop up there in the clean cool air too (looks like a Go Fast Fiberglass Scoop?) Not sure if its finished or not but a Carson or Canvas lift off roof and a set of Raidar Wheels with Wide Whites would do wonders for this DRIVER. And Yes Indeedy Doo Doo.... There were hundreds of wild cars in every class, from MILD TO WILD to Cool & Custom. Did you have any favorites At The Show Do you have any 2010 SEMA PHOTOS THAT YOU CAN SHARE WITH US?
A Wild Car For Sure..... YUP, Thats my brand SlingShot scoop on the car (GFF) The car makes my scoop looks even better...heh heh I would love to drive this thing across the country!
Hey There GASSERGLASS. I want one of these Sling Shot Scoops for Hot Rod, how do I contact you? I want one for a single carburetor and want the shark like openin on it, the divider that makes it look like a Greer / Black dragster scoop. How much???????????
What he said...missed the mark. I don't care what you could 'do to it' to make it 'RAD'...it was presented like this, POOP! FLiP
Too heavy handed a design lacking the style Ed's cars had which were pleasing to look at. This one makes you want to stab your eyes with a sharp stick.
The scoop is the best part of the hole creation! Guess it's not to hard to pull off a train wreck from every angle! GasserGlass do you make one for a tripower?
I swear you old geezers make me laugh, I hope I don't get so grumpy when I get that old. Hehahaha ANYWAY.... I DIDNT ASK IF YOU LIKED THIS CAR. I ASKED IF ANYONE HAD A FAVORITE CAR AT SEMA THIS YEAR? Like dripping ice-cream in the summertime, you drip a little ice-cream on the sidewalk and in a few minutes all the damn piss ants will come out and attack it! You guys are a Hoot!
He sure lacks his daddy's eye for style and proportion! Its about the right color for a turd though. My favorite car at SEMA? Anything but THAT! Pick up babes in that thing? Where would they put their white canes? There were marks all over it where people had been touching it with ten foot poles!
Well since I haven't anything to do tonight except sharpen my cane and put wide whites and Radirs on my wheelchair I guess I'll throw my two cents into the fray. You put up a half dozen pictures of the car and rail on about Dennis and his iconic hot rod buddies and then ask what our favorite car of the SEMA show is.It would seem that you might be favoring this as your pick.If not,I will throw it back at you;what is YOUR favorite? As I didn't attend the show or see any pictures from there I can't comment on the other cars but I will comment on this one: To sum it up in one word:INCOHERENT.There is no STYLE to the car(?)whatsoever;the engine is mounted so high and the driving position so low that it would be an accomplishment just to drive it unless you were using a periscope. And where do the iconic buddies in the rear seat put their legs;do they wrap them around the heads of the front seat occupants?Probably because they can't see where they are going anyway. The color may be nice but the scallops(or whatever they were intended to be)are not and they do not coincide with the design(?)of the car and the color definitely does not complement the base paint. The workmanship looks good in all fairness but I didn't see it up close. How is the windshield attached? It looks like there are tiny brackets on either side and they really don't look up to the task. Again in all fairness it looks like there was a lot of work done and likely as not I could not(and would not) have done it.Just my opinion. Now where did I put those pesky Radir wheels......................
Pretty cool sculpturing in the body work. I'm surprised it's not paying homage to some classic looks from yesteryear. For example, larger tires in back contrasted with narrow wheels up front. Also, the front axle looks like it should be a foot or two further forward than it is now.
Whelp...I guess since I was warned by a few Old HAMBers not to chime in on ANYTHING posted on this site, I guess I had to learn on my own. The question can be only answered intelligently by very few HAMB members. Thanks for the input though, I learned a lot about this forum in a very short time....Ask No Questions And Ill Get No Stupid Answers. To those who managed to be respectful, thank you for your input. I think I'll read whats in those Geritol Pill Bottles that you guys take, I bet its THC Thanks DooDoo Head
Hi Doo Doo Head, I know you didn't ask but, I liked the STREETNIK car myself. From the carb scoop made by Mr. Roach (Go Fast Fiberglass) down the strange brand frame (what-Is-It?) Looked like the frame was upside-down? But my favorite car at last years SEMA has to be the LOW DOWN Australian Blue Haze Cadillac. That Thing Was Bad-Ass!
i think i remember that one of the other roth boys , i think it was reno , started a project like this before he passed supposed to be kinda like a 4 seat beatnick bandit( or was it the outlaw?). i wonder if dennis took it over and finished it. i do agree kinda goofy looking maybe would have come off better with different paint
