I like it too! But, I like Cragar SS wheels on most anything. My 40 yr old son is pissed 'cause I want to put a set on my '39 sedan instead of 20" something ..or other.... He can change 'em if he gets the car in my will!! LOL!
i have one n.o.s 15x4 with gold center and its not a plastic coating its anodized ill have to dig it out to get a pic and see were it's made at
I have been looking for 2 of the 13 inch ones for years--If I am thinking correct they have a 5 bolt pattern for the Falcon's--correct me if I am wrong--I want to put them on this--really big and little-If anyone has two let me know-found some TRI-Spinners a few years ago that were as pitted as my wheels---In the 60"s my brother was buying them new and using red striped tires on his 442
The 13s i have are 4 lug. I wish i could find a center cap that would fit those, as i am missing one. I have searched high and low and no luck.
Just keep searchin'! Persistance pays off! However, even though they were rather common on Pintos and Vegas, Pintos and Vegas are no longer common.
I remember seeing a couple of cars with the gold center cragers, always seemed to be mounted to a maroon car...go figure
Actually no, calls them "rides" which is cool with me...he went to Daytona with me last Friday with his son,and we always have a good time! ;0
Had gold center Cragars back in the 70's on my car. Thought they looked really good then, but in time I grew to dislike them.
I bought a new set almost 3 years ago and they already have a couple of rust pits starting. I'm not real happy about that!

I ran into this earlier this year - http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=468412 From what I remember the USA ones had much better chrome, they had no rust or pitting. Are you keeping the gold centers? -Karl
