i never do these kind of posts but i am being offered a really solid Plymouth. car is basically a driver and has about 0 rust. motor is a 4 banger with dual carbs. car has been in a warehouse or something since 1970 so its all there and all in really good shape. comes with 2 new running boards and a few other goodies. just would like to know ballpark what these go for in good original conditions. here are some pics...

no rust and in good shape I would believe it would be around 8-10.. probably 8 since no one really can sell anything because of the economy
It's really hard to find something that nice anytime . It looks to be a solid as the day it was made and besides the running boards looks to be in really good condition . Wouldn't be really hard to complete depending on what you would want to do to it . Now if the engine would turn over and the interior is decent to leave alone , I would say $7500 to $8000 or more if you can get it running . Still a very nice looking car ! I really like the look and the lines that it carries . Really a good base to build anything from ! Retro Jim
the flathead should be a 201.3 cu. engine and the numbers are stamped on drivers side (towards front of car) of engine up towards the head. i do believe these are P-3/P-4 models.
That's a P-3 model. The P-4 was the deluxe model. It had things like vent windows and woodgrained paint on the dash. The inline 6 engine was basically unchanged until sometime in the mid-late '50's. When I pulled the engine out of mine (which I ***umed was the original) I found out it had been replaced with a '53 model at some point in it's life. Killer looks, and you won't see 19 of them at every event.
Oh yeah, if it does have dual carbs on it, that intake is worth a few bucks. Speed equipment for the stock flathead is hard to come by.
Its just not a real popular body style. To me old cars are like a house. Always buy something that you can easily sell.
This car got my attention, because I think it has a lot of potential to become a cool custom. If its a really clean car, it would be a steal at $6k (that's what I'd offer).
I sold this car about a year and a half ago for $9700. I was asking $10 I think I gave it away. Wish I still had it.
cool!!! puts it in fair price. i might strike the deal, he needs labor on his 48 convertible Ford so it wont cost me much out of pocket. ive been wanting to do a late 30's car in an early 40's custom style so this might just be it.
