ya, I haven't missed a Lawrence swap in a few years. I just like going to see ****...

 

I went last year and there were about 20 to 30 vendors. If the word keeps getting spread it should grow and hopefully get pretty big.

 

It's a nice place for a swap meet. I hope they grow! Right now it kinda reminds me of the Veteran's swap meets at Wyandotte Fair Grounds they used to have. Small and super-friendly.

Just look out for the speed traps in Gardner! They got me last year on my way to the swap meet going down Moonlight Rd. -- a 4 lane divided section line road that was posted with a residential speed limit.

Also, the Shriner Swap Meet (the main KC "big" swap meet) moved from Lee's Summit, Mo to Lathrop, MO. Not exactly convenient. We could use a better/bigger swap meet scene in the closer-in KC vicinity. The Hallmark garage ones weren't bad, but a bit cold and dark in the Springtime.
