Junkyards tend to have them attached to driveshafts in trucks usually, too...

  4. Every junkyard I've ever been in has them.

What style of truck was the 727 most common in and what year?

the input yoke for the 727 is also the same as the one for the 4 speed. now you have 2 places to find one.

Is it a bolt-on or slip yoke?
If bolt-on, you'll need to look primarily at 3/4 ton and up trucks and motorhome chassis.

It is a slip yoke. I know they have them on ebay for around 80-120$. I just wanted to see if I could find one at the yard.

Why not put a want ad in the H.A.M.B. Classified?

Yeah I'm going to that. But, wanted to start here first and see if anyone had info about what make and model the 727 came in.

The 904 was not used in trucks, for obvious reasons, so any truck, starting in 1964, with 2wd or (an older) 4wd with a divorced transfer case will have the 'normal' 727 and a slip yoke on the driveshaft.
Every passenger car with a big block will have a 727; No 904's and no O/D units.
