Are the front fenders the same on a 37 and 38 ford?

No, there a subtle differences..............at a casual glance they look the same, but upon closer comparison you can see the differences. What are those differences, you ask? I don't have any nearby to use for example, though I do have each, so you'll just have to take my word for it......or not. :)

I have a 38 coupe and was wondering how much trouble it would be to use the 37 front clip.

  4. The '38 Standard resembled the '37. It should be pretty close to a bolt on. I haven't done it yet but from what I understand it is pretty close to a bolt on if not a direct bolt on.

Pretty easy to mistake a '38 Standard for a '37.
But as has been mentioned there are subtle differences.

37 has a peak down the center and the 38 is all round,

'37 Clip will fit directly on a '38. I've NEVER seen a full set of '38 Standard front sheet metal for sale at a swap meet in the last 30 years compared to TONS of '37s.

Also note- '38 STANDARD and '38 DELUXE front fenders are different as well!
