Can anyone positively id this intake. I believe it to be for an olds. I am unfamiliar with this style intake for the early olds- the offy, weiand, edebrocks mount from the "inside" of the intake, not the outside as seen here. Please someone help make my day. Just got my stick shift this week end so this would just be the icing. Thanks J-

Well, Edmunds made many intakes for Cadillac/Studebaker, but this is NOT one. They did not have water in the intake. Looks like an Olds to me.

    thnx,

The Edmunds 2 X 2 I just bought has "STUDE" barely visible on the underside, you might check the bottom over with a strong light but the other's probably "nailed" it.

Cadillac, nailhead Buick, and Studebaker all used dry intake manifolds, i.e. the water crossover and thermostat were incorporated into the water pump or front cover.

Thanks for the input guys. I had over looked the nailhead. In the pic below it looks like there is too much angle to the gasket seats to be nailhead though- and certainly the water crossover eliminate it as a possability as well. Haven't received it yet, but will check the bottom for a mark. Thanks again. J-

I have a Edmunds for a Olds and it says on the bottom 49-53 olds. If you need pics just PM me. Mine is not polished and you can read everything perfectly. Swap Meet $50.

Well I wish I paid 50 bucks, but still the price was worth making me smile like my face was green and round. Now combined with the three speed stick setup I got this weekend...well I'm a happy guy. Thanks all. J-

    7&7,

Thanks for the pics. Now that looks like an olds intake and sadly not like mine- though they do share a lot in common. Can't quite see in the 1st pic; does it read edmunds or edmunds custom? J-

Edmunds made 2 styles of olds intakes. The one you are buying I believe to be the later version. I have had both styles.

If it is the lincoln then I have a line on the engine. Complete.

  20. There are two on that nasty Auction site, with decent pictures. One for a Stude 258 and one for a Hemi 354. Just search Edmunds. Good luck.
