Well don't even count. 21 T, 38 Chev and 41 Packard, but liked all of them, still own the 38 & 41

 

If your talking real steel ,My 32 truck ,I also had a 40 chevy project on a chevelle frame ,It is supposevly a race car ,Guy bought it for the body ,This was many years ago and all the rest were chevelle's ,montecarlo 's and also El camino and one gmc sprint and one 69 firebird.........And one citroen 55

what most people today don't realise is, back in the 40's 50's 60's. we didn't have a love of old cars. we bought the best we could afford and did what we could to personalise them. that means doing the same thing everyone else did, pop the hub caps and paint the wheels (spray cans of paint were a new very cool item) used white wallls were 4-5 bucks had to buy them 1 or 2 at a time. shift knobs and brodie knobs.

if you had a girl friend it was her job to knit the angora dice. dual pipes were a must have, when you could afford to throw 20 bucks into a 50 dollar car. I bought more than a few drivers for less that 20 bucks.

My first car was a light mint green 41 chev coupe for 50 bucks from an uncle that owned an uholpostery shop, so it had a new matching interior including a headliner out of the same tweed looking green and white material that was on the seats. lowered in the back (when everyone started dagoing. dropped in the front) visor and skirts. only one spotlight and antenna

that was 1957. so my first car was like buying a 1994 chevrolet today. and 50.00 in 57 was equal to 500-750 today. I worked 12-15 hours a week at $1.00 an hour.

to answer your question the oldest car I've owned was probably a 1915 T in 1975. 60 years old. I've owned older but they were projects that never saw the road. that is about 50% of the 200+ cars that I've owned ..........Jim

I had to come back and edit this. hell a 1950 car is 60 years old now. my 48 ford is 62 years old and I've owned for 20

The very first Antique car I was given a ride in was a 1912 Model T in 1962-63, bought it in 1983 and it is still in my garage. Had a 1912 AC 3Wheeler project once, and a few bits and pieces from early Steam cars.

23 model t ford , blown bigger block

 

24 T....just like about 25% of us on here. All steel...sitting in a neighbor's rose garden. I inquired about it when I was 17 and he said - 'come git it'. Got it on the road (265/PG) and traded it for a 28 tudor with a 57 nailhead in it, but no interior.
