I was just glad to see something like that on tv. I thought the car was bad*** and so was the 600hp engine. Imagine for a moment boys, what 600hp must be like in a car like that. I'm creamin my pants just thinking about it.

Your right! I wanted to see it cuz I'm building a 29 coupe, but if I was doing it I'd left the fenders on, they were mint! $ 16 gees for that? Man I started with a lot less... money... Maybe I should have learned how to make big money insted of what I did....(It ****s to be poor) FullBlast

First off, if you think that engine makes 600 hp I've got some NOS '32 fenders for sale for $15 ea/ $50 a full set. Did you happen to watch when he took off? The rearend was an open not a posi (the p***enger rear tire was doing all/most of the spinning. If it had been putting out 600 HP he would have melted the rear tires off the rims before the car moved. I can hardly imagine what 600 HP
would do to a 7:00X16 bias ply tire.
Also , if the fake heart attack would have been left out it might have made room for watching Dave Simard do some more of his fabulous body work. The guy turns out some of the most stunning cars to turn a wheel, and we get to watch lame drama. Welcome to the world of prime time TV:mad:

  6. All I want to know is if now thanks to TV I can combine the POS in this photo with a junkyard caprice, a spare grille off one of the 20 or so doodlebugs my buddy has floating around, some other odds and ends and have a $36K car for my $1500 or so invested?

Provided I can get the thing out of the woods without the body falling apart on me... it's a 30 or 31 A tudor, you can't see much in the summer but it does have a frame and front fenders, and the body and both doors are there. It's just rough. Of course, if I channel it I can just trim the lower edges off even and claim I sectioned it too and save a bunch of $$$ on repair panels...

(FWIW I'm being sarcastic here, for those sarcastically impaired)

Biker Buildoff is inspiring....and The Simpsons is funny.....that wraps up my regularly scheduled programming!!! IF I lived alone, I wouldn't have a TV.

Well Joe, I guess I am too old. I like most types of music, but Blues is my favorite. But I like a vocalist that can sing, not just shout into the mic and jump all over the place. We'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

The model A that Jesse drove on that show was a pickup and it belongs to Faye Butler.

Nope, they didn't. They complained about Elvis' hip movement, but that was about it. We could actually understand every word.

Well i have heard everyone talk about it and finally they played it up here in Canada last night. I do agree with you all that there shoul dhave been more on the actual build up. Anyone notice when they first are building the car it has a chrome front axle yet when its supposedly all finished (obviously several months later since the dog is a lot bigger) the front end is a rusted dropped I beam. Or the fact that they make a point of sayin they are using a certain type of radiator on the show, yet when its all said and done it ends up with a shell covering it anyways (which is good). Regardless of the stupid stuff in it, it is still kool to see them build a kool ride.

It was like watching a vision of what my sedan should be quite similar to actually. Tho I will make sure mine doesnt sit lower in the *** end as this one seemed to... gotta have forward rake even if its slammed.

thats 2 monster garages I actually watched and thought Jesse was a near normal person instead of an arrogant knob

at the end they should have dragged that old lamer behind the car:D

I would have thought they would have more to the car for $36,000 though but overall I did like the show and the cars outcome good bunch of builders to except the one exception:)

I am still waiting for the Hank Young and Cole Biker buildoff to air:eek:

They cant have too much technical stuff, or the drama crowd will nod off, and miss the commercials. Besides shallow thinking is what most people do best. ;)
