Ok i have recently purchased a 36 ford tudor, i am going to build a fenderless rod, one of the first questions i have is what year make model of spindles can i use on the factory axle to upgrade brakes and such. such as 50 ford pick up or chevy etc.? this is a low budget fun build like my father would have built many years ago, i have acess to many old wreck yards for suitable swaping parts, how to channel the body second can anyone direct me to a site where someone has built one so i can get refrence info on this build. rear axle swaps, motor mounts, frame mods, body channeling, etc. I have built several muscle cars over the years this is my first at a older rod any help would be apprecieated thanks C
If I were you i'd post an introduction. Its kind of a big deal around here. I wouldn't upgrade the brakes on a '36 because, If I'm not mistaken, those would be the "wide five" bolt pattern. It would be blasphemous to eliminate those. To reference any thread is simple. Above the bar that reads: Support Us: Join the H.A.M.B. yeah, I can't really picture one sans fenders either. Do you have a mock up picture of the car Acepatt?
sorry for the lack of into, thanks for the welcome. i will post pics soon for advise and ideas, i am going fenderless and lowered for something different, plus the car is missing the front clip, all else is with it including running boards and rear fenders, well see.
I didn't know fenderless and lowered was different. Silly me. I'm considering a channel on my '36 Chevy Sedan. I'm not quite sure exactly which area of the floor you'd have specific questions about unless you're concerned with how to handle the doors. If that's the case, this may help.
