Sorry brother...just took a look at your albums....had no idea what was in your stable....guess there's a car for every kid plus....If one has to go then that's the way it is....you've done a good job gathering them up and it's not easy keeping them all corralled I suppose...keep your favorites

 

Seriously.............now may not be the best time to sell the '40 with the market down. You didn't say why you have to sell but unless it's critical I wouldn't.

 

40's have a large back seat, you can haul a bunch of kids. don't sell the 40, get a part time job for your hobby

 

Don't sell, do as My Mother in Law says, "Oh well just put one more potato in the pot".

its a shame you have to sell the car ,I WOULD BUY ANOTHER PROJECT on the cheap and spend the rest on the baby ,He or she will need a car right ,Congrats to you and your mrs.

 

I guess I should clarify a little..... The '40 is going so that I can justify finishing and keeping my '54, which I'm a little sentimental about since it was my high school hot rod. It's been in the family for a long time. With my small little 2 car garage, my wife and I both have to park outside. Well, now that she's pregnant and it's snowing and cold, I decided to sell one of the cars to pay for the other, and give her room to park inside. Or I could keep 'em both and make the pregnant lady walk through the snow/ice every day! lol....

No, I'm not selling to buy a new car with a big payment. I simply have to sacrafice one to keep the other!

I'm not selfish enough to park one of the hot rods out in the weather to let it rot, telling myself "one day I'm going to restore that thing." I'm sure the '40 will be in better hands with someone that has room, time, and money! (and maybe a heated garage)

 

...kids are everywhere, 40's not so much, keep the 40!

 

Boy that is good and bad news! I personally would try to hang on to it, there are a lot of ways to save $$ that we take for granted, like the moring cup of coffee and dounut on the way to work, ... add that up and see what you spend a year! That might be a poor example, but we do waste a ton of easy little $$ all week like that, and it all adds up at the end of the year. .... I'd re-look the budget first and think long and hard before you put the 4-sale sign up ... this is not easy to find the $$$ to replace it down the road. Shoot pay the hospital delivery off $50 a month Congrats on the new little one, good luck with the deciding factors ...
