Florida!

Holy cow! Its nice here in Naples, Florida! Spent the day on the beach, lots of GREAT food here, ate at the cove last night, man lots to do here! Weather is awesome, and better than Iowa right now!
Will post goofy pictures when we return home!

Drive over to Lauderdale and eat at the Mai Kai one of the best and last of the old tiki/polynesian establishments in the Country

Just here for a week as for some reason winters are starting to BUG me. I really let myself go in the winter and end up looking like a fat squirrel by spring! So we needed to get some warm air/water for a little bit. And here I have a great father in law who's gated community has a golf course/club too.
I don't play, but he's taking me out to swing at a few in the morning to see if I like it-funny thing-there's a cat here who owns a exterminator business and his name is Truely Normal or something like that. Anyway he owns several old cool cars and parks them all over the place for advertising-genious!

 

That's "Truly Nolan" exterminators...they've been parking old cars with their name on them for many decades in Southern California, Arizona, and I would guess all over the country.

 

TRR starts in Daytona on Thursday

Go north to Sarasota, there's a BIG antique car museum there...

My relatives from Iowa City LOVE our flea markets... I guess they don't have them up there.

It's a Four Hour run up Interstate 75, but Don Garlits Hotrod Museum in Ocala is worth the trip!

 

You haven't lived until you visited the Pan Handle between Panama City and Destin. Pristine white sand beaches, good restaurants and no crowds. It's not your Geezer Florida.
