I have this drive shaft that was supposed to be from a mustang with a t5, i dont know the year. My problem is that the sleeve looking thing on the end in too large hits the floorboard. How can i remove it? It has two dimples in it that i drilled out but i still cant get it off, it has a rubber dampner inbetween the outer and inner pieces.

If you can't get it off... take it to any local drive shaft shop, they can pop it off in a few minutes and probably only charge 5-10 bucks. If they do it for no charge, swing back with a 6-pack before the shop closes tonight.

I know you're unemployed (which absolutely ****s)... but doing what you're doing isn't getting you what you need.

Cut two slits in it 180 apart then wedge the slits apart & that will start to tear the rubber away & then pry the two halves off tearing away the rest of the rubber.
