I guess I should make it a bit more clear than the ***le. Does anyone know of a column mounted aftermarket turn signal switch that you can run brake lights through so as to only use one bulb for stop and brake lights? Every one I can find uses a separate bulb (light) for the brake lights. I'm talking about the one that clamps on the column and not in the column or a converted one under or in the dash.
NAPA carries one for trucks under the LIT code. IIRC it is part number 700. Lots of guys use them on field trucks and dump trucks.
This is what I used but got it local. Works great in my 40 pickup. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Turn...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item563ce1f918
Couldn't you use a combo bulb(1157) and purchase two 3-wire pigtail sockets? Wouldn't that be a cheaper alternative, or am I missing something?
Any of the aftermarket 7 wire switches will let you use the same bulb filament for TS/brake functions.
yep,, and if you have seperate bulbs in the housing you should swap in 1157 bulbs and sockets. easy as pie.
