Well - the surfers cross (maltese cross / racers cross - whatever you wanna call them) have arrived and some artists have already been sent theirs in order to get a jump start on them.

I know the Torque Fest art show is not until April - but some actually take a few weeks to do these up right.

If you are already one of the contributing artist - go ahead and email your name/address again and I will see that these go out to you in the next week or so.

If you wish to participate - email me and we will see if there are any crosses left over.

For those that dont know - we have been auctioning off the past years art (WW2 M40 helmets) here on the HAMB. All proceeds going to:
    www.helpinghannahsheart.org

Last year about 10% of the contributing artists wanted their items back and we gladly sent them back to the artists.

This year though we will ask the artists to contribute postage money to help defer the costs of the art show. Last year we lost a lot of money - and the powers that be are really trying to get us to cut corners everywhere. Anyway

Here is the embossed 15" x 15" cross

It is just like the metal signs you see at swap meets/catalogs. In fact - we had one of the major companies that actually cuts all those metal signs do ours!

I think it looks great and I cant wait to see what the artist come up with - I know one guy already asked if he could incorporate it into a bigger piece....and another asked if things could be attatched to the cross.....YES!
anything the artists wants to do is cool - that is what this is all about!
Individual interpretations of the same "canvas"

    Thanks

Those are beyond beautiful!!! Do you sell them? I don't have any money, but one year I might, and if you sell that beautiful metal work...

I've been admiring everyone's work here for years so I broke out a ballpoint yesterday and decided to join the party.

  11. Hi everyone I've been watching the Friday Art show thread for a while now and I've got to say, I'm always excited seeing the wide range of art that gets posted here each week :D. So I thought why not join in with the fun and add to the collective.
These are two of my recent screen prints

I made a leather bottle holder to put a bottle of whiskey in, this is for my overflow container on the radiator.
