swapping chevy 235 with 250

Can anyone help with advise??? I'm putting a 66 250 in my 62 chevy pickup. The old 235 was of the front timing cover engine mount type. the new 250 is the later side mount type... Can i simply tranfer 235 timing cover mount onto the 250??? or does this not even work??? visually they look the same

 

I have a 250 in my 60 and it uses the side mount type I can snap a few pics if you want

 

what looks the same? the 235 should look quite a bit different than the 250.
