What is the stuff called (material) that guys put around the window openings and such on the early cars like model A's and T's. The word escapes me??? I was thinking of doing some "fun fur" around the rear window and that area in my T coupe. If anyone has any pics that would be awesome!!!
It will bleach out and look like **** in 2 weeks, use some hide or leather, try some elk or hog leather, leave the fun fur where it belongs. (^)
"Fun Fur" in some brand name that some people have used. I found that searching the HAMB. I got some samples of the different colors, don't know how durable it would be though.
I know the windlace is "trim", I was familiar with this from restoring an old 66 mustang. I was talking more about some type of material, almost like headliner material that guys use to cover like dynamat or rattle trap.
Are you thinking of Furflex? I know of it from old Jaguars and stuff... Quick google brought up this - http://www.automobiletrim.com/door-seal-fabric.html
This is the area I am talking about, not really a windlace type scenario, more of an upholstery type deal?
