Mig-it welding shield

After reading 'Texas********'s comment on a welding helmet thread, I checked out http://www.accustrike.com/ to look at their helmets. I actually found something else there that I thought was pretty handy - especially since I'm doing a lot of tack welding recently. I'll admit it, I usually do the 'look away' deal even though I know better.

They're on special right now for $20 - I actually got mine off Ebay but it's their deal. BTW I have NO affiliation with them, just thought I'd p*** along the info on a cool tool...

Here's what ya get;



Attaches with two thumb screws - they also make one with a handle and one with a magnetic base;



The shield just snaps on;



You simply adjust your line of sight as you pull the trigger.

I'll bet there will be some clever Hambers making their own after seeing what you posted. I'm thinking a magnetic dial indicator base, a couple of clamps and a dark lens,.................hmmmm!!
