I have searched the site, and have not been able to find any definitions for these descriptive terms. When do I outgrow being an FNG? What's the pecking order? How many levels are there? Thanks.
Anyoue can become an Alliance member, just look up the requirements to be an Alliance Member, I believe it is covered at the bottom of each thread under Support the H.A.M.B. Join the H.A.M.B. Alliance in the black section at the very bottom.
Hi guy. After you post 100 times or so, you'll go from F**xing New Guy to Grenade Inspector. (dangerous job) For $50 a year, you can become an "Alliance Member", and get very good discounts on parts from Alliance Vendors. The savings one set of tires from Coker Tire will more than pay for your membership. As an Alliance Member, you also recieve a numbered firewall/dash tag with your hamb name stamped on it.
Right now, all my $50 bills are going into my '27 roadster project. I will keep that in mind, however. Thanks again.
The $50.00 a year is a small price to pay for all of the information located here and Ryan, I feel could use the help to keep providing all of the memory this site requires. I have no idea how much money it takes to keep a site like this up and active on the internet but probably much more than most of us could afford. Most forum sites have a place to contribute funds to help off set the cost of maintaining the site and here you get discounts with your contribution. This site and the Jalopy Journal have to be a labor of love for all of the time that Ryan puts into both of them.
You will have to spend the $50 bill to finish your '27 roadster project. The rod's firewall will not be complete without a cool H.A.M.B. tag (with your user name) riveted to it.
Everytime I see grenade inspector I picture a cartoon with someone hitting bombs with a hammer,Wonder if ryan had that in mind. From an old Looney tunes cartoon
"***les" have nothing to do with time spent here on the HAMB and everything to do with contributing. 14 posts a year is pretty sad actually. Basicly you don't contribute.
Well I guess if I want to get rid of the tag, I should join the Alliance. Because generally I post when I can contribute. Not just say what the other previous 10 posters said directly before. Nor do I see the point in negative posts, although this might be one.....oh well. Whata ya expect from a FNG.................
I am a FNG and really appreciate all of the information found here. I am a member of another site as well, But feel like the folks here are not "stuck up" about helping another car guy out. I will stay a FNG as long as the site requires and will be happy to just be a member of a great group. Thank you all.
Well Im 64 been doing this for a very long time and dont really care what my ***le is ,Know what Ive done and what Im capable of doing ,and enjoy the comments builds and all the help that seems free and open to any that need it. Just a damn good place to enjoy the hobby that has brought us all here. Off my soap box.
