Great thread thanks to all for posting awesome memories.

As a kid Fonda was my favorite track. 4 moments that are still etched in my mind.

Late 70's Larry Livingston (The Bleecker Beagle) was my favorite driver thou an underdog he leads the Mod feature from like lap 2 to the white flag and then Lou Lazzaro get underneath him and arrrrrrrg. After the race we go talk to Larry and we comment "Man every week something happens to ya its agonizing" Larry says "How to you think I feel"

The night Dave Lape and Don Wayman dead heated. They ran a 5 lap run off. Turns out the promoter flipped a coin to determine who would win he just wanted them to put on a show. Wayman was to win, after one or two laps of going side by side Wayman car breaks down. You could see Lape back off a little because he wasn't sure what was going on.

The night (79?) George Proctor got his last modified feature win. By then George was pretty much an also ran. But for one magical night no one could get by. I think the driver who got 2nd was Art Kiser a guy who would want a win just a bad. The crowd went nuts.

Harry Peek win in the Fonda 200 he had just moved up from late models it might have been his 1st mod race. You could feel the electricity in the air. Of course a few years later his wreck gave us the opposite feeling

One request if anyone might have?
Phil Spiak Gold glitter X he ran at Malta

The #13 Jim Fodor Welding car was from Trenton, N.J. Jim built 2 cars that I know of, bought one of Taylor's 93, don't know exactly what became of it, I heard the good stuff was removed and then cut up.(what I heard )

Joe Kelly drove the Fodor Modifieds and unfortunately had a terrible accident at Flemington that paralyzed him.

Fodor sold the car and it became the PDQ sportsman at Flemington

I am looking for information about a dirt track that was in GILBERT PA 18331. It was only open for 2 or 3 years in the early 1950's. The track is still there.

It is located on US Route 209 at the intersection of Gilbert road and Rt, 209. It is south of Pocono Raceway, north of Narareth, and east of Mahoning Valley.

Does any one have any photos. I knew some people that raced there. Roy Smith, father or Richie and Randy, they raced at Nazareth and Middletown. Also Roy Dorshimer, father of Rick and Bill, they raced at Dorney Park and Mahoning Valley.

Item #7222: car #74 at this time was driven by Jackie Evans. He started driving at reading in the RIO #39, then drove the Stan Malamut #74 and then the Johnny Lux #77. Budd Olsen drove the #74 after Jackie.
