Is there anyone out there that has a picture of the back of a 34 Ford truck cab? I need a side shot to make sure I get the right contour when I do the metal work. The back of my cab is bowed in slightly and I know thats not proper. Thanks in advance.

On mine below the body lines its flat. Then there is a very slight curve on the body lines.

Thanks fellas, I thought it was pretty flat with alittle contour in the body lines. Wanted to make sure before I drug out the hammer.

I'm sure that there's no way to get it flat across the back of the cab (vertically and horizontally)unless the corner curves are restored to their original contours. I've got to do the same thing on my cab, and am a bit intimidated by it. Anybody have any tricks to restoring the corner contours after they have been pinched in from a blow to the back of the cab?

Concidering the cab is 78 years old my corners are in pretty good shape. Of course its all cracked up like an egg shell and slightly bowed in the center. I was thinking of using 3/4 or 1 inch tubing instead of putting the wood back. Wouldnt good straight tubing make it easier to straighten the back of cab if used as bracing somewhat like the original wood?

  10. This may help, its the only pic of the back without the box on.

    Good luck, it's pretty flat.

thanks all. I needed this question answered too, unfortunatly not what I wanted to hear. mine went though a house fire and has a substantial bow I'm not sure how I'm going to remove. but that's for another time I guess.
