    So what.

No. no 67cst...I'm glad you posted this. I hadn't seen it before, and what the heck kind of search-terms would you use to find this here anyway? This is worth conversation at the least.
The low prices in this ad for parts and service are noteworthy...but remember that when $25 a week was good money, you could easily eat up a couple weeks pay getting your engine overhauled...same as today.
More noteworthy IMO, is the fact that this dealership seems to actually give a shit about this guy and his car. I don't see this today. Service-bulletins used to be sent out periodically, exposing problematic areas of vehicles, and giving advice on how to fix them. I don't see this today either. The guy that wants to fix his own car has been systematically excluded.

Ask me again why we like the old cars...

    Thanks for sharing, 67cst.

  6. That $25.00 in 1928 is the same as $318.50 in 2010.

Awesome! Real cool to see stuff like this. And as stated, you don't really see this type of thing now days. Just goes to show how far we have come?

And on a side not. I lurk, but not often enough to see every thread on the hamb. I might have posted it myslef if I came across it as well. So don't sweat it.

Thanks for posting! I'm on here pretty regularly and hadn't seen this letter before. If you post something that has been posted before someone carps about it, if you post on an OLD thread there is someone to complain about you bringing up an old thread, you would do well to mind your spelling and punctuation too because that will get a comment too. I think most of the folks aren't that worked up about seeing something twice or any of that other stuff. Some of us just can't pass up a chance to complain about something. If you feel that you have something to say POST!The way I see it this is just a bunch of guys sharing ideas and if you happen to see the same one more than once I for one don't mind.

  16. at least its pretty close to topic. i mean jeesh. lately....

Not really.. I can't think of any 3-4 year old car that I could rebuild the engine and trans for $318.50
