You have a closed drive shaft so to keep it simple find one with a dynaflow not a sp400 or you will have to change rear ends drive shaft and ..... All i started out doing was askihg a simple question and thought i would get a simple answer instead i got a bunch of people with far to much time on there hands. to me and all the normal people typing caps means you are typing in caps. The bellhousing bolt pattern is the same for '57 through '66, but the crankshaft is different for the Turbo 400 trans. used on '64 to '66 401s and 425s. Happy motoring, Frank

It's easy to add the 400 to an earlier motor Carmen Faso sells the bushing and then you just enlarge the hole in the 400 flexplate to fit the early crank...
