I do to, they are great people to deal with, and their multiple car rates are really good!

Hagerty raised my raised my rates every year for six years for no reason, best thing I ever did was to change the policy over to Grundy. Cost was a lot lower and has never gone up.

I had my insurance with Hagerty for years and just for grins shopped Grundy at premium time one year. Grundy was a ton cheaper for the same coverage. I have been with Grundy now for almost 2 years and though I have never had a claim with either, I'm going to renew in January.

I stay with Hagerty because if I want my son to drive one of my cars to a show and I'm driving the other, they'll let me do that. Grundy will not.

Not that Haggerty is bad, but Grundy is Better (and more economical).

Hagerty all the way, three cars insured with them and always easy to deal with. Grundy wouldn't even talk to me about my first car I wanted to insure with them. Not saying they are bad, but they didn't even let me send pictures of the car to show them what I had.

Haggerty must be lowering their rates to get customers back from Grundy. I have Grundy coverage on 4 cars. I have a friend who collected from Grundy when he bought a '32 Ford Sport coupe that the seller smashed into a fence while loading the car for shipment (we think he was drunk). The previous owner also had Grundy and the claims process was easy.

the best thing about this thread is that everybody posting has insurance and is happy with their present provider.

I have Hagerty, but have never had a claim. I thought the price was very fair, roadside program an *** kicker so I am happy. It took me a few years to wake up and go with a vintage insurer, slow learner! I think both Hagerty and Grundy are great values. For what its worth. ~Sololobo~

  22. I had all my 6 cars with J.C. Taylor for many years. They chose to eliminate a local rep here in St. Louis, Missouri so I switched to Hagerty.
Have not had a claim but Hagerty has a local rep that is a car collector and a member of the local clubs.
I'll stay with hagerty. Like the idea of a local rep.

Had a claim with Grundy earlier this year for a "small" paint issue after driving through a sandstorm on the way to VLV. Had an adjuster out there the day after the phone call, and they cut me a check right then. Pretty happy with Grundy.

I am looking into getting a 1950 Chevy but my house has a carport not a garage and I am having a hard time finding insurance. Any suggestions?

You won't really know if you're happy until you have to use your insurance company.

When my freshly restored Porsche 356 was rear ended and totaled, Hagerty promptly sent out an adjuster who determined that my car was totaled. The immediately offered to cut me a check for the agreed value.

I was curious as to how it would go with the other guy's insurance company, Nationwide (who also insures my regular cars). After going round and round with them for 3 weeks, I got them to about 2/3 of my agreed value. At that point, I called Hagerty and got them to cut me a check. They then started negotiating with Nationwide.

My claim could not have been more h***le free. I'm sticking with Hagerty. The rates are VERY reasonable for what you get.

I bought a pickup this summer, making my insurance with Hagerty for 2 rods. On my way home with my new pickup, it caught on fire. $16,000 plus in damages and Hagerty never questioned it, in fact paid the full amount plus a $325.00 tow bill. Guess for yourself, I'm staying with Hagerty's! Thank You Michelle and everyone at Hagerty's! By the way I'm rebuilding the truck and they will cover it again with a apparisal. Go ahead say what you want, you pay for what you get!
