I really like winter driving under certainn conditions. But around here if it snows an inch they put down 2 inches of salt. So from Thanksgiving till easter we are basically driving in a brine solution.. Not partucularly the thing to subject 60+ year old steel to.

But a couple inches of fresh powder on a crisp sunny morning, before the idiots, the plows and salt trucks get out, that's the best. Couple bags of sand, or a bit of other weight over the axle, just to make it easier to get rolling

Really dig the truck and great pics! Great to see you get it out in inclement weather. I know folks that will not even back their old ride in the driveway if there is a chance of rain!

Here is my '37 Ford in the same snow storm. I am in the middle of moving and it had to sit outside till the new shop is built :( There is another 6" of snow on it now, and more is expected for tonight.

You better stop all that driving and picture taking and get in the garage to finish that damn '29 roadster!!!! Cast is off the cold is your only excuse. Look at me...like I have room to talk. Nice pics dude...I love that truck.

Oh by the way I'll be expecting another Christmas card with "hitting Switches and impregnating bitches" written on it.

Neat pics, nice truck, but stop cryin' bout that little bit of snow. C'mon over here if you want to see snow.

  17. Nice truck and nice to see it being used. Had a neighbour couple years back ('64 GTO ... $15,000 paint job) that left a car show (actually, refused to enter the car show is more like it) when he realized he would have to park on the grass. ???? As stupid as this sounds, I am not kidding. I say "cars and trucks" are for driving and "good for you".

  18. Naw, I'll think of something a little more classy to put on your card this year. You should scan and post that on here. I laugh every time I think of it...you impregnating bitches I mean, not the card ;)

I supose the next thing you'll be looking for is a pair of 16" sawdust snow tires so you can take it out again next weekend? Maybe we should invite the West Side guys over for a little Snow Run?

I just went on one wild ride. I took the 37' out to the shop. Walls are up just no doors. Drove it south via dishman mica rd after work in the dark with an inch of packed snow and ice on pavement. With all that snow on the roof it was really top heavy and with no shocks every chatter mark from the plows made the car switch lanes.
I think the highlight of the trip was the look on peoples faces while I was filling up with gas. Of course I got to talk to the hillbilly with 3 teeth asking if it drove well in the snow. I told him at this point it drove real well in the snow, little did he know I lived across the street.

So, that is what snow looks like! You are truly a lucky man - pretty girl, dog in the bed, and a great old traditional truck to drive around on a beautiful snowy day.

Here in Hotlanta, during winter, we usually experience around 40 degree temps, 20mph wind, and pouring rain - at the same time...

Anyway, nice pics! It makes me want to get back to work on my coupe so I can drive it up to the mountains.
