Folks Of Interest My Hot Rod wedding 11/27/10

Well I took the plunge this last weekend 11/27/10. Thankfully the weather held out for the plans that we had made.It was a bit touch and go at times due to the wonderful Iowa weather. Orginally I was supost to be married June 6 2011 but, unfortunately my father in-law was diagnosed with ALS. So we moved the wedding up and everything went on with out a hitch! I was fortunate to have many close friends family and well wishers in attendance. I was also honored to have Marty Pringle (Olmarty) in my wedding, witch happened to be his first time ever in a tux. Here is some of the early pics that I'm allowed to show.

Here is some more. Part of the invite requested if you had an old car, weather permitting, you had to bring it. I was a great day, now if I can just get over the pneumonia that I got I could get back to work!

I've participated in a couple "old car" weddings ... including my own (drove our old british sportscar w/a couple more behind us) .

 

Here's another picture that I just got from the photographer. Its My father my self and my best man and brother Damon. The car we are next to is my fathers first attempt at hot rodding and has had the car longer than both my brother and I have been alive. Its a 1933 Dodge coupe that still gets driven and shown on a regular basis.

Congrats on the hotrod Wedding, I got married one day later, on the 28th November, but 29 years ago. Had two chopped '34 Ford Sedans as wedding cars. Bucketed with rain the whole day. When Minister asked for anyone who objected, to speak now or forever hold your peace, a huge thunder clap nearly blew the windows out of the church and everyone pissed themselves laughing.

 

Cool man. I'm glad I have pics from my wedding too, cuz I sure don't remember much of it.
