Projects "Official "Big Red Rocket of Love" Build Thread!

This project actually started a month after I bought the car. Couldn't stand the vinyl top so it was taken off and I decided to have the roof flaked. Well, It didn't stop there. After that I just decided to pull the whole car apart and do a mild custom with it. I'm a big Reverend Horton Heat fan so hence the name that I gave the car. It's not finished but I thought I would start a thread to show what I have been working on. I completly stripped the car minus pulling off the frame. Paint wise I hand stripped the doors, hood, interior trim, roof, dash. The bodywork and paint was done by a good friend that I owe a huge deal of respect and gra***ude to. The hood after being stripped and primed Loverdude and I the little helper louvered the hood. She's shaved and smoothed and is starting to look great. You get the picture. Lots of pics. So its been awhile since I've really posted progress on this project. Life has taken me here there and everywhere since last posting. Well here's the progress. Currently just about ready to drive. A few wiring gremlins to workout and off I go. Interior will get done this winter. I will post more pictures very soon guys. Enjoy!

Here it is. Been done for a little more than a month. Got a lot of miles on it so far and found some qerks that I am going to address this winter. I tell ya getting rid of the 3 on the tree and having a T-5 is awesome.
