Cool that you are participating on the H.A.M.B. after 31 months. Will you be striping for free or is this an advertisement for your striping services? Call me curious!!??
just one of the listings on the SEMA page: <TABLE border=1 cellSpacing=0 borderColor=#333333 cellPadding=5><TBODY><TR><TD>Tuesday, November 02, 2010, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.</TD><TD>Von Hot Rod, Pinstriper</TD><TD>Speed Dawg Racing , Booth #20565</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
pinstriping IS part of the trade- like painting (but much smaller lol) My cars will be at the HRIA/ARMO booth and #24196 for the Syracuse Nationals booth. Hope to run into some HAMBurgers.
Von Hot Rod pinstriped my phone a few years ago at sema. If I remember right he works for tips at this show. I liked my phone so much I had him pinstrip my car at the Roadster show. Very nice guy. Also had him pinstripe my wifes sunglasses and my daughters ipod
Heres my schedule for SEMA; Tues Speed Dawg Racing booth#20565 Wed Grand General/KNS Accessories booth #23881 Thurs Speed Dawg Racing booth #20565 Fri US Radiator booth #22975 all booths Pinstriping open till close. See you Kats at SEMA.
I understand that, but because it is a trade show, and therefor most attendees are there to do business and or see new products, i didn't figure that the market for HotRod to be doing striping for people would be very big. Thought maybe he'd be outside where the public can wander through
Its one of my biggest shows for Pinstriping, people bring all kinds of stuff for me to Pinstripe, along with a few cars before opening time, I have been Pinstriping there for 7 years now.
I wanted to go but I screwed up and let my Biz lic lapse and SEMA wouldn't accept it in time to pre-register, I have it renewed now but registering at the event is a pain in the arse and a bit more pricey.....
I am getting in SEMA Show via their "Opinion Leader Program" that invites non vendors to give their evaluation of new products, etc. Only Friday-Nov 5, too late to sign up for this now. Show is not open to the general public or to purchase stuff on site.
Can somebody there please see whats up with this image from the Holley booth last year. Are these front covers back in production or was it just nostalgia? I'm aware of the non functional ones on the Mad Max sites but I'd really love to hear Weiand is putting this back out for real. http://www.4x4review.com/Portals/1/article-images/feature/2009SEMA/day2/09SEMA-Holley002.JPG
A few shots from outside this afternoon and right inside the main lobby entrance. Sorry didn't get a chance to wander much and shoot pics, I've been tied to the roadster all day answering questioning. I'll see if I can get a Ford rep to do that sometime over the next few days and if so I'll shoot some for you guys. Not a lot of hot rods though, from what I've seen thus far it is new mustangs and camaros. The Phil Remington tribute modified lakes car is on Ford's main stage along with a Hollywood Hot Rods roadster pick up. In Ford's Hall of Fame section the cars included are: Carol Shelby's first Cobra, David Pearson's '69 Cobra Torino, Bill Elliots/Thompson's LSR Mustang and Sandy Belond's '31 roadster.
A little late but SEMA was great Pinstriped all kinda of stuff, Thanks to everyone who stopped by to said Hi, And My Pinstriped Shift Knob received the ''2010 SEMA Global Award'' for best new product.
