Some company makes a kit to put a 32 style tank on an A but it only looks good (IMHO) on cars with fenders...it had some sort of frame extensions or something...been too too long since I have seen one to remember.
Saw one once, but don't have any pic's. I didn't think it looked right. And it sure wouldn't be safe if someone rearended you.
http://www.dagelsstreetrods.com/ They, have a pic as well on their site...side extensions look like the cut offs from 32 frames. Expensive. Ralph
Here is one I'm doing right now. '31 Coupe on Deuce Rails, with a Deuce Gastank. I angled the panel over the Tank out, so the Tank dooesn't stick too far. Got rid of the Brace that normaly goes to the bottom of it, and did a lot modifications to the 1/4 panels
Nick O' Teens building one right now, will be in Viva Las Vegas, a coupe on 32 rails with 32 tank. I think it would look wrong if it wasn't on deuce rails.
There is a 34 coupe of Johnny Best (I think ) in the UK, running a big Hemi upfront (with push****onshifter !) and a 32 tank in the rear (of the car, NOT Johnny's...)
F...ing cold in garage.... but small steps slowly... 8BA fuel pump push rod did not fit 59 A... Bigger diameter. Will post you pics of my new turn signals on weekend...They rock!
