This morning when I looked on the Puget Sound Craigslist, there were quite a few '55 chev's for sale. Have a look and you may get a feel for what you are looking at. BTW, I think the Bremerton '55 HT listed on Craigslist may belong to a guy that I know a little. I think he's only asking about $5500 for his 2dr HT.

There are unbelievable deals, Right Now, here on HAMB under the cars for sale. Many have been listed for months, and not snatched up even when the seller keeps lowering the prices. The market is really down now. Find someone who genuinely NEEDS to sell and you'll be in the drivers seat. Whatever he was offered a few years ago, he would be lucky to get about half of that offer now from any knowledgeable buyer. Good Luck.

Also besides the dollar figure, You need to determine how far they have taken it apart and how much knowledge you have in putting a car jigsaw back together. If you never took a car down all the way and they have every single nut and bolt off of it and just all thrown in one bucket, nothing labeled, can you put it together without hiring someone or buying one already put together for a reference?

If you are a knowledgable bodyman, restorer, customizer or a good carnut guy in general or if they have everything labeled in sorted boxes or only partially disassembled with all little parts still intact, then it won't be as bad.

well, i talked to the guy for about 1/2 an hour.. it's a no go for me. no engine, no transmission, a 9" ford rear end.. disassembled about 21 years ago, in boxes and not labeled... etc, etc.... oh well, i wasn't looking for a project anyway, i've got my 50 apart right now and playing with that.... oh yeah, he said he wanted around $6500.00 for it too.....

    Great googley moogley!

I will sell you a two hump camel and 3 wicker baskets........:D

Some day, when tri Chevy's become as rare as 3 window model A's, that car will be worth the $6500 and 82.7 years of re-assembling.
