I'm looking to purchase a radiator for my model a.I'm using a stock un altered 30/31 grill shell with a flathead.I also want to retain the original radiator cap in the grill shell.Any thoughts as to where is the best/most reasonable place to buy?I've heard that you can run a 32 radiator in the A grill shell and that will have the radiator cap on the top.Anybody else doing this?

    Thanks

Bill Take a regular A radiator to a good shop they can block off the center return .Add top returns one on each side. Build a half pan for the right side with the tube in it. However the A radiator will not stand high pressure. An over flow pressure controler will have to rigged to the over flow tube. I did mine myself So for So good. I have a live gauge in each head and one in the top of the radiator cap. My 52 Flathead has so far not got over 180 deg. It will go higher when the engine is killed for a short time then cool down.

  5. The '32 radiator protrudes out at the top into the '32 shell and will not work with a stock Model A radiator shell. I think the filler neck is also in the wrong location. Don't worry about the filler neck since the first item kills the idea. Time for a '32 shell (maybe fibergl***?).
