One of my favorites, used to belong to Toast here on the HAMB.I think it was a 63.The paint was amazing!!
If you don't like them You should not build it. It will not be what you want and you will more than likely lose interest and money in it.
I think the blue one is a 64 and I have one did a pic request a few days ago that one didnt show up I have ideas now
I always wondered how the "Bullet 'Birds" ('61-'33) snuck in between the '58-60's and the '64-'66's, which look like a natural "evolution" of the early Squarebird style. The Bullet Birds are prettier, and swoopier, and look more modern to me. But then, I'm old, AND, I have a '59 (thumbnails). The above pic made me throw up a little in my mouth...
well i picked it up this morning, unfortunately theres not an engine in it, but i just happen to have a 390 laying around so ill probably drop it in. the body is pretty straight with a couple dents here and their, the interior is clean, no rips in the seats or headliner, one door panel is messed up a little, but pretty damn clean compared to the mercs i drag home!! im not going to go crazy with this thing, figured get it running, maybe lower it a little, tires and a 2-tone paint of some sort and send it on its way to somebody that would enjoy it. i cant believe it didnt get vandalized, its been sitting at a house that nobody lived at for a couple of months and wasnt gated or anything..
I am insanely jealous. you americans are so lucky with all of your awesome old cars laying around. You'd be looking to pay around $7,000+ for that here in Aus.. I'd kill for a '65/'66 t-bird haha.
lucky that rare vice grip steering wheel wasn't ganked..... nice bird. the swing away steering column was ahead of it time. good stuff, my man.
the guy said he has the steering wheel and the other matching black plate for it, so thats good. im gettin some good ideas so keep those pics a coming!
I saw a super clean Black 1965 TBird in the 2010 LA Roadster Swap Meet for sale. It was black, slammed and otherwise stock with the 390. Wish I would have taken a picture, it really changed my view of this particular body style.
Any car can be done right, just takes a lot of planning, some vision, hard work and lots of times, some restraint!
I've always wanted to one like Mike Hammer or James Bond might own. Black on black on black, low, classy, very discreet.
