Seen it all the time when I lived in Texas, "Imona fixer up some day". Or "That was my daddys"

  2. I know what you mean, I went to the Australian Grand Prix a few years ago and there was this McLaren F1 car just sitting out the back of the pits. I offered them $50 but the *******s wouldnt sell it, said they were gonna fix it up and race it the next day or something. They obviously didnt care about it, the tyres were bald and it had graffiti all over the car!!

I too hate those old farts that hoard up cars and never get around to doing anything with them. I go by an old studebaker convertible and Ford F-1 pickup every day that is just sitting there. The same guy has a bunch of old Fords in the trees behind his house. Oh, wait a minute, that is mine. ;)

I have bought old cars that I may one day want to fix up. Each year it seems that some of this stuff gets harder to find and the prices go up. I bought the cars mentioned above along with others. Yes they are just sitting and rotting but get over it.

Mine are not rotting away faster then any other junk out there. In 50 years someone will be pretty happy to find my rusted out junk.

A tip for those that are bothered by unwilling sellers. Go out and find the willing sellers and buy the cars. I have collected a bunch over the last 10 years. Not that hard. I think it has more to do with the mentality of "I will sit on my *** and whine about those that have what I want" rather than doing anything myself.

I'm glad I don't have alot of money or garage space, otherwise I would be the guy with all the cars "not for sale".

Most cities / towns have an ordinance that vehicles parked outside have to be running / licensed to sit outside. depends on the neighborhood / neighbors if they press it too much. My home town, population 7000, started citing cars. After my fathers 65 Impala 4 door got a citation he drove the 65 4 door to the city building and invited the inspector to go for a ride and drop the ticket.

If the lot is adjoining to you, you can always file a quit claim deed on the property (used to hold a trailer and now is empty) if they go delinquent on taxes you get first crack. Laws vary by area.

For the truck just keep inquiring, its not going to go too bad sitting in Arizona, not like midwest. you may have to just watch it rot. Consider a fence so you dont have to see it.

This is funny ****, I knew I would get you wide open places guys all excited, haha, I live in the most busy body jack ***ed neighborhood in the world for this kind of stuff, if I leave the top of my grill open after I burn some burgers I get a citation or a warning. You guys are so freakin lucky that you can put a car on your land, I can't even leave a metal object out side. The s****pers take it, my buddy lost his truck cab to them, it was sitting in his drive way and they took it away, the neighbor lady told him they did him a favor, had her son help them load it, nice. Any way count your blessings.

Wow, just one more reason not to live anywhere near Chicago! Anyone "stealing" a truck cab off my property will be leaving in a bag. I live in a nighborhood with what I would term a fairly agressive HOA, but worst case we get a little nastygram from them.
