Hey I should have posted this a while ago but I got my car, I got all my money back and I am working on the car with lots of help from friends. If you ever feel that you are getting scammed do not wait, call the bank immediately and tell them what is going on it might take a while but the bank will try everything in their power to help you.

I talked to trulyvintage about shipping my car while all this was going on and he helped me out a lot. He gave me a great deal and let me know what was going on with car where he was at with the car, he keeps in contact with you the whole time you make a deal with him. It was a great experience, I will only do auto shipping through the hamb.

The people on the hamb will be the only way I will transport ever again! Saves you a lot of stress and headaches, thanks for reading my post, started bad but ended great thanks.

Wow I just heard some great news about that transport company, I think some more should have happened to them for all the hardship they have caused. They are still in business but hopefully not for long.

    http://www.myfoxny.com/dpp/news/shame/long-island-auto-transport-broker-20100310

    >>"MYFOXNY.COM - Fox 5's Arnold Diaz has been reporting on a Long Island automobile transport broker for more than two years. Bayville-based A Blue Knight Auto Carrier has used many names, including A Eastern Connection.

Now in a major development, New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has announced his office has obtained a consent order and judgment against the company, owned by Marguerite Cermola and Gregory Sclafani.

"Hundreds of consumers entrusted their vehicles to this company for safe transport, but the business repeatedly delivered little more than fraud and deception," Cuomo said. "My office will continue to hold companies accountable for dishonest business practices."

The consent order and judgment requires Cermola and Sclafani to pay $60,000 in res***ution and $65,000 in penalties and costs to the state, Cuomo's office said. They also must put aside $50,000 for res***ution for consumers who come forward in the future.

NOTE: Consumers who believe they were defrauded by A Blue Knight Auto Carrier, A Eastern Connection, Autotrail Transporters, or V&C Warehousing and Distribution have until March 30, 2010, to file a complaint with the attorney general's office in order to be considered for res***ution.

To file a complaint you can contact Cuomo's N***au County regional office at:

    516-248-3302

or his Suffolk County regional office at:

    631-231-2401. "<<

File your complaints now guys, you've got until the end of March.

"Amen " to that. The beautiful art of written communication has turned into illegible finger painting. If you want someone to read something, make it readable.

and this is truth, reporting a bad company isn't slander, only making up stuff to cause trouble for them, this is why sites like ripoff report are so popular. companies like this depend on people not wanting to admit they got ripped off, when the word gets out, things get done

Some info that might help, first it sounds like the business in this discussion is a "Broker" and not a carrier, hence one driver on it one not then again, they were trying to find a carrier to actually get it and were having a hard time finding one. Things to know all trucking companies and brokers are required to have authority a icc mc number mine is MC171655 you can tell how old the business by this number a starting in 0 or 1 are quite old, the 4 5 6 7 and so on are newer. Brokers only carry a 10,000 bond not much start up but you can go after that bond.

A very important thing to ask and they HAVE TO SUPPLY IT, is a broker agreement this will come in the form of a fax or email in pdf it is all the broker authority or trucking co. info with licensing DOT number ICC docket with numbers banking insurance co and bonding co for brokers. If a company is not willing to send over a Broker or Freight agreement for trucking co's with the info just walk away no matter what they say. This information is required by law for them to send I do it 10-30 times a week and are kept on file for 5 years. Also make sure you have a copy of their Accord Insurance policy that is the ins covering your car freight of any form.

It always amazes me that when some one is trying to look out for their fellow HAMB'ers that there are people out there trying to correct their grammar and punctuation. Thanks for the heads up glad it worked out for ya.

I don't remember it saying "spelling counts" when I signed up! (Bring on the flamers I have Nomex underwear)

It wouldn't be slander, it would be libel and just writing about your experience and stating your opinion does not qualify as libel. Speak and write away, just don't lie or you may have problems.

Oh, and I just got my 100th post!
