Ya, what you see in those pics is about 1/3 of what was there. He had long rows of cars. From the 20s up the the early 70s.[/QUOTE]
Welcome from a newbie. Yes i know all about N.D. went out there to a Junk yard a couple years ago and bought a 52 Merc HT then went back two weeks later and bought a 55 chevy bel-air 2 dr,dam near rust free cars, but let me tell you what, it is one COLD sum-*****, i think it was 28- below. Any way nice shop and looks like you got a few things to keep you busy for awhile. How do you heat the shop? Any way hang in there, dont letem get to you. 8-Ball

8ball, we heat the place with a knipco and by running around a lot. ;) We just got a heater for it. Its a gas heater that hangs up on the ceiling. This is the second winter without a real heater. We plan to hang it this coming weekend.

The shop is at the farm of a friend of mine. We ran out of money before we could insulate and finish the interior. We're getting to it a bit at a time now. Outside the shop my friend has a '48 Ford 4 door, two '47 Chevies (one fastback and one with the trunk). He has a '59 Caddy and a '39 Pontiac in the back of the shop. In the barn, he has a '53 Olds, a '69 Caddy 'vert, '68 Caddy Calais coupe, a '63 Caddy, and my International. Outside the barn in the old pasture, he has another '68 Calais coupe, a '65 Caddy and 2 '59 Caddy parts cars and my '64 Kaiser Gladiator. He has another '47 Chevy that he has yet to pick up and a '37 Chevy at the same place to be picked up. He's the guy with the money.........

FHPete, I took what he wrote the wrong way. It looked like an insult to me. Its always nice to be greeted with insults. Someone you don't know calling you a ****ing New Guy is generally not taken as a warm welcome. Its difficult to know when someone you don't know is being facetious. Folks here that know him better, have pointed out that I took it all wrong and I can see that. I have little patience with people getting in my face for no apparent reason. This misunderstanding was my fault. I'm not perfect.............yet. ;)

As for church, I have spent way too much time studying the bible to ever follow the teachings of my church (Luthern). They are so far offbase its incredible. During my confirmation cl***es, I pointed out so many false doctrines that the pastor quit calling on me to answer questions.

StevieD, what swap meet? What did I miss?

Arthur, its apparently an old Isreali military truck. My brother is currently looking for the panel truck version also.

The name is pronounced Yawk (sounds like Hawk) Ubb. Not Jake ubb. This is according to a Jewish friend.

Here's a link to some pics of the hot rod under construction.

The quickest way to get rid of this is to pay some money and become an Alliance member :)

BTW it's easy to get beat up here. I'm always glued to my PC when an FNG shows up "building a rat rod putting the body on an S-10 frame". :D
