I don't know what the odds of something like this happening are..
This weekend I mad a run to So Cal to pick up a 64 Ford Falcon for a friend of mine. This afternoon I was on my way back home heading North on I-5.I stopped at my favorite place,"Andersens Split Pea Soup" in Santa Nella,Ca. afterwards I Drove across the street to fill up my Van when I see a *****in Black 39 Ford Sedan on a trailer.I pulled aound to the other side of the pumps and rolled down my window and said to the gentleman, "Cool 39 Ford." I got out to Pump Gas, and while I was filling up I walked over and noticed a "Jalopy Journal" Decal in the window.I said, "Hey you must be on the HAMB, right?", he replied, "yes I am," I said, "cool me too!".He asked, "who are you on the HAMB?" I said "M.Edell." I asked who he was, he said,"Ryan"...It took me a second..uh...duhhhh..wait a minute I thought.. 39 Ford, his name is Ryan...I then asked, "THEE Ryan?" He said "thats me!",,Whoa! I was beside myself to say the least..."What Hell are you doing here?", I asked. He said, "Taking his car up to Vern Tardels in Santa Rosa,Ca." He had two other HAMBers with him,I'll be damned if I can remember their names now, uggh,(sorry guys). He finished g***ing up and we all shook hands and said bye...I was totally blown away..I called a fellow HAMBer buddy of mine,George "35Mastr" to tell him what had just occured....Still trippin out over it....Nice to meet you once again Ryan...:eek::)

I am betting if it was on a trailer there is a good reason for that. So, do tell Ryan, whats the scoop man? Oh and cool story!

As many times as you've changed your name on the HAMB...
It's no wonder that you didn't recognize him...

oh hell, I didnt even know M.Edell was the old Marcus. Welcome back, studillac

  22. Gene Winfield walks up to the swap space I am in and asks me how much for an EMPI GTV VW steering wheel, I treated him like any other potential buyer. We're all the same in the end, some of us just get noticed for our accolades more. I think I would rather have met the creator of Live Wire and MFS though :D:D.-Weeks

...and you BELIEVED this guy? Just because he SAID he was THE Ryan? and his two henchman backed him up? No pix? Did you ask for ID? Was it even his car? You're aware that HAMBers trailering their cars (trailer princess?) is tantamount to a mortal sin? You need more do***entation and provenance for this story to have any legs.

  27. Couple of hoodlums stealing a nice 39 Ford tells you the leader is Ryan Cochrane.....you get all flustered, eyes glaze over, heart palpitations,no pics and no memory of a licence plate. It could happen to a Hamber!

It is no sin when taking the fathead from Austin to the Tardell ranch, that is a big *** haul for the little mill. It gets driven a plenty. Smart is what that is. Cool encounter with the cool one, he puts on his pants just like you do. And I love PeaSoup Anderson's, great soup and usually great homestyle service. Wash your hands its cold and flu season! ~sololobo~

  30. Marcus, I've always thought you were the "Kiss and Tell" type. I've probably had more name changes than you ..... are you sure your not Mudd???
