So here goes the build log for my 1948 Dodge 1 ton truck. I bought this bad boy end of October and have been slowly taking it apart and cleaning stuff up. Here's one part that's got me thinking. I found the plate with the serial number and the model. The model number shows B-1-D-116. Which shows it's a B 1 Dodge truck D meaning it's a 1 ton and 116 being the wheel base. So for the life of me I can't seem to find a picture of a truck with the same front end as mine. I noticed that the parking lights are different than the other 48's I've seen. I noticed that mine has the bucket type front end where as the rest don't have the buckets.

    Anyway here are some pics.

Thanks for the quick responses. Yea my dash is different than yours ed. Im debating whether I want to look for a 48-49 front end or stick with this one. I have some more pictures I need to upload of the progress I've done. So far all the broken glass is out interior minus the steering column is out. I have to get in there now and get all the dirt off the floor.

Also does anyone have any leads on some new wheels? I want to keep with the same industrial type of wheel. I was looking at the fedex trucks and noticed they have the 6 lug wheels but im not sure if they will fit. Anyone have any ideas?
