I found Jason on here while looking custom steel wheels for my buddy Terry's 30 Ford Truck. He is running a rear Camaro axle and needed custom offset 16x10 Terry isn't very internet savvy, So I gave him Jason's Number. Jason told him it would be 3 or 4 days to make the wheels and he would have them in a week or so. That was almost two months ago. Terry was given a UPS tracking number from Jason. UPS said that the tracking number wasn't valid. Jason said that UPS had lost/damaged the wheels. After this happened,Jason quit answering phone calls from him. I've tried handling this via PM. Jason seems to answer those. He finally called my buddy after the PM's last Monday to tell him he would be remaking the wheels Monday and giving him a tracking number Tuesday. No new tracking numbers or phone calls after that. I'm taking this personally because I'm the one that gave Terry the number. I realize there are two sides to every story and the truth lies in the middle. At the end of the day, my buddy is out 400 bucks and still needs these wheels. Does anybody have any suggestions of another company that could make these wheels? The other option he has is to cut the axle down, and he doesn't want to do that.

how did he pay? paypal, money order, credit card, etc, follow up with the bank, institution, etc that handled the transaction, maybe he can get partial or full reimbursement.

get the money back if he can then find another source for wheels.

i'm working on a thin budget and i hate the stories of money sent, 3 months or 2 years and no parts/parts arrived are badly done/ etc...

    keep us posted...

and oh yeah, go do an intro post and keep them happy...

That is what I read,so I gave Terry his number. If he makes it right I'm sure Terry would be good with it.

I stopped into BMC a couple weeks ago and Jason, said he was swamped on wheels and had hired some help back in and commented that UPS or one of the freight co's had lost a wheel and something about one brought back looking like it had been used as a chock block for the space shuttle, and again he's trying to get caught up on building them.

I've dealt with Jason in the past and have nothing but good to say about him and his shop. Hopefully he gets on here and makes things right. Sorry about your situation.

I talked to your buddy the end of last week.. Told him we were remaking the wheels and sending them out.. They were made today once new parts arrived... 16x10 parts aren't just laying around... They are leaving on ups on Tuesday. By time we got them done we missed truck today... I told Terry I would call with track numbers as soon as they went on the truck... Its not that the tracking number was not valid.. Ups cpuld not show any info off the number..when they or I track it, it showed no current info on progress.. Without progress ups can't track and has to do a physical search.. This they did with no results. That is why were are remaking them. I didn't stop answering my phone... We were closed for the holiday and on weekends... I return calls when people leave messages.. If we don't answer during business hours, leave a message. It is loud in the shop and lots going on. I will call back once I see the message.. Jason

I realize that these are one off steel wheels. One off stuff takes time, I totally understand. I think the disconnect is the time frame when he was told they would be done. You told him he should have them in two weeks. He ordered them in late October hoping he would have them by his wife's birthday as this is her truck. He didn't and he was very disappointed by this. It is creeping on Christmas Time and he is still doesn't have wheels in his hands. I understand you had problems with UPS, shipping companies are a pain in the ass. You called him two weeks ago and told him they would be shipped last Tuesday. I'm guessing they are going out today?

Probably had a hard time getting 16x10 rims. That's a tough one.

I had the wheels when he first ordered. They went out and then just didn't show for him. We tracked them and had a physical check done to no avail. I told him we would remake and get them right out. The centers have been the issue, not the hoops..Just talked to Terry.. On their way... Jason.

Well this isn't too old so I don't feel bad about bumping this.

I've now waited four months for my wheels. Apparently my wheels were also lost by UPS. But this is only half the story. I'll give a full report once I get my wheels which is supposed to be before the end of the year. We'll see.

  19. So did "Terry" ever get his wheels? And is he happy?

Beef Stew? Pm me.. I don't recognize the HAMB name? I dont know of any orders four months old for any one on the HAMB..

Terry never got his wheels.. His buddy (capriceutah) was trying to help out.. The wheels were on their way to terry and I recieved a charge back from his card. I voided the shipment and they came back to me. Terry would not answer his phone. I taked to his buddy (capriceutah) who was upset at Terry at this point. He said he didnt know what was going on. He said Terry isn't a computer guy and got sketchy about using his card for the transaction.. I now have a couple custom wheels sitting that no one needs.. Jason.

I know an old post and i should have done a better job of looking into a company before we made a purchase, we have hit the 6 month mark as well for our rims

  24. I'm glad this got bumped.
I was just looking at this vendor the other day for some wheels.
If in 4 years business practices haven't changed they won't until management does.

    It's a shame

You are right, 31Vicky. When two threads show up brought back to life in the same day, and after 4 years, that is very telling. It shows that this company hasn't learned any lessons and is still stringing customers along, after taking their money. I wouldn't buy from him either.

Especially disturbing from a HAMB member.
