Ha, that was actually me. I only drove from Springfield, OR. So 2 hours there and back home.

Cool time and was able to meet some new people and see some great cars.

Sun came out at around 11 and the rest of the day was nice.

  8. The 1st three photos are of my friend Myke's car.. he is on here to "Myke". He came from Springfield..he lives out by me.

Why not move it to the Beavercreek Auto Salvage yard? How many cars show up normally? They have a flat okay sized gravel parking lot you pull directly into from the paved road. Cool sign to get pictures under :D

Nice drive out to Beavercreek, it's just outside of Oregon City.

No, but if this is the case I might have to consider moving this thing. Voodoo Doughnuts' office is one floor above my business, and their other location is two blocks from my business. I have to see these guys often and don't need any issues with them. I will talk to him in the next few days and see if he's grumpy about it. We did affectively shut his business down for a few hours...

I was just wondering if this dude talked to anyone else..He approached us just before we left..said that people had told him the management said its ok..but he seemed a little miffed..not trying to stir up a ruckus, but seems to me everybody buys something from his establishment and people come from all over this one sunday per month..

eh, I don't know, I can see it both ways. Yeah, almost everyone buys a doughnut or two-but some people don't. And, if there's 50 cars there for 2-3 hours, that's a lot of spots being clogged up by people who are no longer buying anything, and a lot of people who don't want to brave it and keep on driving. I see car after car (normal folk) try to get in and then bail because it's so packed. It can be good, and bad I guess. I'll see what the real deal is this week. If we aren't welcome, I'm not going to push it, and I'm sure nobody wants to be where they aren't welcome either. And if that's the case, we'll find a new spot. No biggie.

Can we meet in the middle? Ha ha. Like Kelso?

  21. That's funny as hell, He has one cash register going and the cashiers are real social (slow) and I have to stand in line for 30-40 minutes to buy 2-3 donuts. doesn't sound like we're hurting business. he needs a lesson in merchandising. IMHO..........Jim

  22. I was pretty sure you didn't cruise in from New Hampshire. Springfield might still get you an award. Nice car. I meant to get back and rap with a bit but got sidetracked by all the people having fun. I had the Hemi Powered Model A...........Jim

I don't see the hurting business aspect either. Typically the line is 30 minutes for 2 hours. Last week the line was wrapped around and out the door for a good portion of the event, took us 45 minutes to get to the counter. Anyway, I suppose if it's an issue then a new place is in order.

There is always the A&W in Boring - Car hop style service and plenty of parking. I few miles further for most to drive....

Here's some more pix including Jim's tub:

Hey Jake can we get a place that has Coffee. Good coffee would be a plus but Coffee none the less??????????? I see both sides too but I also have waited in that rediculous line there at all times during the gathering so I would say that it isnt hurting the business but who knows. there are lots of cool places around to have an event like this. shit for all that matters we can do a garage crawl or something???????
