Been working on my 38 Chevy coupe for about 15 years. During this project I got old and slowed down quite a bit and somehow learned to enjoy just having a project to work on in my garage and watch some sports on my tv while doing so. I learned to put things down when things weren't going my way and looking at it another day. Any progress was good and with no time constraints. It's been very Zen like and I can honestly say I enjoyed this project the most from all my others over the years. I don't think I'm going to be building anymore hot rods and my next project will be a restoration type of some sort. I'm not very computerish so pictures will be a challenge, but I will try. Regards, Marv

It looks great. It also makes me wish I would have kept mine so many years ago.

That shade of blue (BTW, blue is my favorite color:)) and the polished 5 spokes REALLY work on that car. Congrats on a successful build.

Awesome job Marv. I too am old and trying to finish my 39 Pontiac Coupe. I:
love that hood latching mechanism. Is that an item that can be purchased or did you build it? :)

Very nice car Marv, you did a great job. What kind of paint is that ? Do you mind sharing the name - color code of the paint ?

Guys, thank you and thank you for all the kind words. Much appreciated!

Willy, always good to hear from you! Hope to see you around soon.

39 Pontiaccoupe. My hood set up is hydraulic and is home built. Took me about a year to figure it out.

Blue_One, I searched long a hard for that color blue and I am willing to share the info. The color is not a production color but a color off the Spectmaster blue chip chart from Dupont Paint Co. I used Chroma Supreme paint which is a single stage paint with hardner. It is no longer legal here to buy in Calif. The paint number is BS504. Good luck!
