    a friend of mine is building one into a hotrod. is there anybody out there messing with these jeep looking trucks ?

    Here's a couple to get started.I personally don't like them street rod style.I think they look best with their original aggressive looks.

    My brother has a 53 with a 283 in it parked over by the sheep pen. I'm suprised more people don't HOT ROD them... his neighbor down the road has one with a Ford Flathead V8.

    thanks guys. he's chopping the top 3 inches, i'm real curious as to how it will look.

    I like the stance. What did you do with the front end? Have any pics? My dad has a '50 wagon that he bought with a transverse leaf setup up front. Whoever put it together de-arced the springs so the frame is resting on the bump stops. The thing rides like a horse carriage and I've been looking for ideas.

  12. What did you do with the front end?

    ...believe it or not , I used a 69 Camaro front clip, mainly cuz I was used to using them and people told me it wouldn't work! ...even with the open fenders, it didn't look bad....drove great.
