Fill it, with hooch. Use a gas cap and mount a 1 gallon tank where the old one was. Fill with moonshine.

Put a cap back on it then hook it up to a cow prod or electrical fence battery. When someone goes to steal your gas, they get shocking results. You better have a camera close by too so you can tape the fun.

I remember seeing one with a Cad engine running at the old Tucson Dragway about that time....

Anyways, I just put a 40 gal tank in the back of my 57 chevy one ton (to feed a thirsty big block that's in the trucks future, not because I have any qualms about the stock tank location). As soon as I get it hooked up I can take the tank out from behind the seat.

Now you got me thinking what I should do...I was just gonna weld a piece of sheetmetal in the hole.

Stick a gas filler in it with about 4 feet of hose attached to it, like you forgot and drove away from the pump.

Out of necessity, I relocated the filler on my Falcon to inside the trunk. Right now, I’ve just got the cap screwed into the old (cut off) filler neck, but my ambition is to fill in the hole.

Is having someone fill the wrong hole much of a risk? I haven’t seen a full-service-only station in at least 15 years.

It is if you live in Oregon where they think everyone is incapable of pumping gas, and are trying to give every deadbeat they can possibly find a job pumping said gas :D

Imagine, it's illegal to pump your own gas, and the idiots have even made it illegal to top off your tank after the automatic shutoff kicks in.
