Brothers, have been a member for 4 years-have helped answer tech questions now I need your help!
Rather than T-Bone this left turn lady, I slid my car. Now I need interior firewall cover. Have looked EVERYWHERE to find a pressboard copy. My 50 was bought new by my Grandfather-so I need to restore it again.
Any help/info will really be appreciated!! Thanks Fly

Thanks Waldo! This is very close to what I need except the cutouts for the brake/clutch pedals are too large.
I need a cover because the "mechanic" working on my car started taking the firewall clips out but then ripped the perfect cover out. He was a hidden drug abuser drinking vodka. He's fired and I am looking. Thanks again! Fly

there are no cutouts for the brake/clutch pedal in the firewall pad. pedals go through the floor.

You are 100% right Ratfink. Over the years I have literally taken off/repaired every nut and bolt on the car.
What I ment to say is the firewall copy "chevs of the40's,etc".-know Ron the owner-their copies show extra holes (6") above the clutch/pedal area. Mine is solid. Cutouts for l/r air intake, access plate for instrument panel, several small holes for wiring and heater control.
As always; I appreciate all input!!

I have tried to rescue a few of these pads over the years from parts cars. they seem to crumble into dust. these were field cars with varmints inside and everything that goes with it. maybe one from a nicer car could be removed, I have never seen an original one for sale.

some other company makes one made from some sort of modern plastic, not sure who they are, but from the photos I've seen they don't look right for a stocker.

Yeah Bro it's right. A sunny Saturday morning (I had just come from my buddy's paint shop) I am in the center lane of 3-so I could move left or right. I come up on the intersection-slow down-green light-and at last millisecound!! this x#x# pulls out right in front of me with my hood centered on her teenage daughter. Options:left into her car and 3 concrete poles, straight and T-bone them kill kid, slide car to right and try to hit side to side spreading energy over larger area. I slid the car. TWELVE coats of lacquer down the tubes. Kid wasn't hurt, but told me her mother is a sick lady. You guys can fill in the rest.

Just FYI, all sheetmetal is done and I dropped a B&B 402 with roller into the chevro. A nice sleeper,,until I hit the header cutouts. Thanks again guys for any info.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit huffing glue. Good luck in your search for the pad.
